Parkland Institute Update:

Parkland Conference Videos Online

Our 24th annual conference, After the Contagions, was a great success. Over 400 people registered to attend the conference that featured five excellent keynote presentations and a panel discussion with six dynamic Albertans. If you missed some or all of the conference, the conference videos are now available to view on our YouTube channel. Please feel free to share the videos via email and social media channels.

Parkland’s report Whistleblowers Not Protected by law professor Cam Hutchison continues to get media coverage. Cam’s latest op-ed was published in the Edmonton Journal on Dec. 22. This op-ed is in response to Public Interest Commissioner Marianne Ryan’s op-ed about Cam’s Parkland report. We look forward to participating in the legislative committee review of the Whistleblower Act in early 2021.

Happy Holidays

As Parkland Institute prepares to close for the holidays, we reflect on the past year. It’s been a challenging year in so many ways, but we look ahead with hope. The Parkland community and staff continue their commitment to work toward a better future for all Albertans. We thank everyone for their support and look forward to exciting programming and research coming in 2021. The Parkland staff will be off until January 4, 2021.

The entire Parkland Institute staff wishes everyone a peaceful and safe holiday season.
